DJ Fresh and Euphonik released from their contracts with immediate effect

The confirmation of the termination of the contracts of the two radio and house music DJ's were confirmed on Wednesday.
Primedia Broadcasting Interim CEO Geraint Crwys-Williams confirmed the reports in a press statement released to the media and public.

This follows a decision that was taken in January 2021 of suspending the two DJ's after a woman opened a case of rape against them. The woman had earlier taken to Twitter accusing the two of drugging and raping her in 2011.

DJ Euphonik has given comment on the decision that he shares was a mutual one between both parties:
We look forward to our names being cleared. Unfortunately, we can’t find common ground with Primedia and have agreed a release from our obligations to the broadcaster, with immediate effect- DJ Euphonik
Primedia Broadcasting Interim CEO Geraint Crwys-Williams said the decision to terminate their contracts was “made after careful consideration of the events of the past weeks.
Last year, Ntsiki Mazwai posted allegations on her social media claiming that DJ Fresh had raped her. DJ Fresh pursued an injunction, successfully against Ntsiki who was forced to remove all the social media posts referring to the allegations.

The court found that Mazwai did not have have enough evidence to back her claims and instructed her to remove her posts and refrain from making further derogatory statements about the DJ.
