Here is some information on what an elephant trunk is used for:
An elephant’s trunk is considered a marvel of biology. It has a variety of uses such as to drink, store, and spray water. They are also able to blow air through it to communicate.
“It’s like a muscular multitool,” said Andrew Schulz, a mechanical engineering doctoral student at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
