Many people in the working force are affected by some type of disease or inability.

For some the progression of the sickness may even limit or threaten one's ability to provide for themselves or earn an income.

The immense toll the disease may take on the body along with the added pressure of earning a liveable income and paying off hospital bills all contribute to the issues employees deal with on the daily.

Unfortunately for one man, the harsh reality of losing his job due to his condition struck.

After using the bathroom for up to 6 hours a day, the company could not look past it and chose to sue.

IOL shares: Wang who used to work for an organisation in Tianjin allegedly began to spend three to six hours per day in the toilet in July 2015. His old employer considered these hours to be excessive.

The company records allege that the employee frequented the bathroom 22 times between September 7 and September 17 2015. This comes to a total of three bathroom visits per day.

Subsequently, Wang lost his position at the company and took to protracted litigation as a means to settle the labour issue. The dissatisfying outcome then resulted in arbitration

However, Wang's frequent trips to the lavatory did not fall in line with what the Tianjin high court determined to be "reasonable and normal physiological needs."

In the end, he lost the case and his job.
