Even manatees need a hug sometimes...
A recent TikTok video of a cute encounter with a manatee has taken the internet by storm.
The video, posted by 'Kendra Underwater', shows her in scuba gear, with the camera angle shifting underwater to reveal a touching interaction with a manatee.
The video begins with Kendra in scuba gear holding her camera at a distance over water, she then moves underwater where we get to see the mind-blowing interaction.
The innocence and purity of the moment are enough to melt anyone's heart.
It has gained over six-million views on the short video sharing application and more than 13,000 comments. Manatees are known to be calm and often friendly creatures of the sea, but the unexpected encounter was beyond adorable.

According to National Geographic, there are three species of manatee, each distinguished by where they reside.
West Indian Manatee
These are found along the North American east coast from Florida to Brazil.Amazonian Manatee
This species is found in the Amazon River.
African Manatee
This adorable creature is found along the west coast and rivers of the African continent.
