"This volcano took 'the floor is lava' to a whole new level," says one user.
The volcano rises more than 4,000 meters above sea level. It is on the largest of the five main Hawaiian Islands, also called Hawaii or the 'Big Island'. About 200,000 people live there.

The U.S. Geological Survey, or USGS, said that this lava flow can last anywhere from one to two weeks.
Lava is shooting 100 feet to 200 feet (30 to 60 meters) into the air, however, for now is not threatening any homes or communities and no evacuation orders have been issued.
