Boity left a lot of South Africans in a state of shock after she tweeted on Sunday night about the Bible being the epitome of patriarchy.

Boity has touched on a very serious matter, now people are talking about religion vs tradition. We are not really sure how this discussion will end, but there will definitely be some tears involved because people always feel very strongly about their religion and tradition.
Knowing the bible, is a personal experience same as knowing God, Jesus and Holy spirit. We do not have abilities to change how people think and behave but we can influence, do not try to disagree with boity that will not help but be a reflection of what you believe in.- Otis
Boity recently became a sangoma, which some believe may have altered the way she perceives things.
A sangoma is a highly respected healer among the Zulu people. They diagnose, prescribe, and often perform rituals to heal a person physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. The sangoma may address all of these realms in the healing process, which usually involves divination, herbal medicine, and specifically-customised rituals to cure illness and restore well-being.
It is said in the Encyclopædia Britannica that in Zulu tradition, God is rarely involved in human affairs and is not a common cause of illness. However, God delegated many administrative functions to the ancestors (amadlozi), who, therefore, are actively and constantly involved in the world of the living.
Maybe we should respect everyone’s right to their own religions and beliefs, and go about our own religion and beliefs without shunning those of others?
Withdraw that statement, we are your fans we are Christians and you are a Sangoma but we have never provoked you with your beliefs.- Becks
Do think Boity had the right to say that about the Bible?
Read what the rest of South Africa had to say:
True as Boity may sound, can't she allow people who believe in Christianity to continue doing so without fear of being judged?! She is a sangoma and how would she feel is we say: " Being a Sangoma is a rootcourse of witchcraft ?🤷♂️

Still have ignorant people who defend that book, while the truth is presented in front of their eyes...there are lot of loopholes in that book, and you’re scared to question it since you live in fear of going to the so called hell!!

Perhaps u should read it more thoroughly. Starting with Eve, Sarah, Esther, The Queen of Sheba, Ruth, Deborah, Mary mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, the Samaritan woman at the well and many more that are mentioned. But quoting one or two scriptures out of context is misleading😉
