As stressful as it can be for a bride and groom, it is also supposed to be a day filled with fun, laughter, and love.
No matter how well you think you know your maid of honour or best man, you might get a little anxious when it comes to the part of the evening where they are set to deliver their speeches.

Will they be mentioning some parts of your past that would give your grandparents a heart attack? Will they embarrass you in front of everyone? Or will they just be completely inappropriate?
They could also be going through the most seeing as their speech has to be funny, interesting, heartwarming, short, and sweet.
No pressure.

So he did what any of us would do in that situation - he decided to wing it.

The big day arrived and as he is finishing up his speech, he can't help but think that he's nailed it. He concludes this otherwise fantastic speech with a joke aimed at the bridesmaids:
"Bridesmaids, I am a bit short of time here and I don't really know you all, so I'd just like to say that five out of six of you look stunning today... figure it out amongst yourselves."

While he thought it was hilarious and it would land well with the crowd, possibly being met with rambunctious laughter and rounds of applause, the opposite happened.
The room had turned dead silent and one of the bridesmaids then burst out in tears.

That's when he knew he had messed up. Big time.
When he went over to apologise to the crying lady he noticed that she was certainly less attractive than the others.

After all the drama, the bride came up to him and just said, "I think it's best you leave."
The groom's response? Just a simple agreeable nod.
May this be a lesson that planning, preparation, and practice do make perfect.
