Battle of the debit orders: Student loans vs medical aid - which is really worse?

Nothing says "new month" like non-stop debit order notifications.

They say "more money, more problems", but we have to admit that we might have some trouble seeing it that way.

For one, we have a hard time believing billionaires experience the same sinking feeling when their debit orders start coming through on the first of a new month.
And that reminds us, today's the day.

It's the 1st of October and that means you have either been avoiding your phone or you have already laid your eyes on that unfortunate SMS that has popped up on your phone screen.
Yes, the debit orders have begun rolling in.

And just like that, the amount in your bank account has dropped significantly and there might even be an 'insufficient funds' message in your near future.
The sadness of it all.
