Babes Wodumo set to lay charges against her new mother-in-law

It's only been a few days since the wedding and Babes is already caught up in some family drama.
One of South Africa's most famous couples, Bongekile 'Babes Wodumo' Simelane and Mandla 'Mampintsha' Maphumulo, celebrated their nuptials over the weekend and it seemed like all was well in newlywed land.

Although the pair are no strangers to controversy and have made headlines for all the wrong reasons numerous times, things have taken a more positive turn after their wedding this past weekend.
The peace did not last long, however, as Mampintsha's mother, Zama Gumede, made a video where she accused Wodumo of lying about her pregnancy. In her video, she said that Babes had claimed to be pregnant with twins, but is yet to give birth.

Furthermore, she also mentioned that Babes had her excluded from all the wedding preparations and is controlling her son. Gumede did not hold back in the video and stated that she has no issue making her thoughts known to the public.
But Babes has now seen the video and is also not scared of addressing the drama.
The 'Queen of Gqom' has spoken to the Daily News after she saw the video and is not going to take the accusations lying down.

Although she has previously chosen to remain silent about the relationship between her husband and his mother, she feels like these allegations have tarnished her brand and insulted her family, so she will be taking action.
Babes said that she is confused by these allegations and feels humiliated, but she will definitely be pressing charges.

And as it turns out, the wedding, which seemed to go off without a hitch, was not without drama and Gumede did try to disrupt the event.
She arrived for the wedding drunk and made demands. I don't know what this woman wants because she did not raise Mampintsha. Mampintsha was raised by her grandmother. I don't know why she is dragging me in their family politics. It was not my responsibility to tell her anything about the wedding preparations. I am hurt by this, but I am not going to let this go. I want to show her that I am from Lamontville, I am going to get her arrested. She was informed about the wedding beforehand. I did all I was obliged to do as a wife with regards to her as my husband’s mother because I wanted the wedding to bring the two families together.- Babes Wodumo
