Updated | By Stacey & J Sbu
No matter the distance they were apart, they always remained bound at heart...
A casual day of picking fruit caused this man to go on a 50-year adventure to find his lost ring.
Dave Radley, 75, was distraught when the gold signet slipped off his finger as he picked strawberries in 1968.
This ring was a gift from his late mother for his 21st birthday.

Dave is a retired train engineer who spent hours looking for his beloved accessory.
The Talker reports that in a stroke of luck last month, a metal detectorist, who received a tip-off from the land-owner about the lost item, made the discovery.

Dave of Mountsorrel, Loughborough, England said: "The ring might not have changed but its owner has - so it's a fairly tight fit.
"I've had to have it changed slightly as I can just about get it on. But none of that matters because I'm so grateful to have it back."
The ring was allegedly seven inches deep in the ground with only one slight scratch, ready to be polished out and treasured.
This full circle story is super wholesome and teaches us about appreciating family heirlooms.
The next time you go strawberry picking, make sure to leave your ring at home!
