Here is more information on the song as shared by ECR Entertainment:
According to several media reports, the song is aimed at addressing the ex-lover.
Miley sings: "I can love me better than you can."
She begins the song by singing about the good times the two shared and how she wished their relationship would never end.
We were good, we were gold
Kind of dream that can't be sold
We were right 'til we weren't
Built a home and watched it burn
Mmm, I didn't wanna leave you, I didn't wanna lie.
As the song continues, Miley says she realised that she can love herself - buy herself flowers, dance by herself, and talk to herself for hours.
Miley and her husband split in August 2019.
The singer said they ended their marriage due to “too much conflict”. The couple got married in December 2018 after meeting on the set of 'The Last Song' in 2009.
