LISTEN: Kindness during pregnancy: a story of perinatal depression
Updated | By Paul Bushell
We're in the middle of Pregnancy Awareness Week and while it's a time of joy and excitement for many women, for others it can be a time when perinatal depression unexpectedly kicks in. Find out what this is all about in today's KindnessCan Podcast.

Pregnancy Awareness Week is observed from 12-16 February. An important
part of this week is to raise awareness around the physical and
emotional risks that face mothers, foetus and babies during pregnancy.
This week in their KindnessCan podcast, Jane Linley-Thomas and Paul Bushell talk to mother, journalist and author, Lauren Shapiro
about her personal experience of perinatal depression; her journey to
recovery and her recent book (Through the Window: How I Beat PND) on the topic.
It’s a real and personal account of pregnancy and mental health.
