Would you financially support someone who physically or emotionally abused you?
This is the question that a friend of Thandolwethu had to face. The friend received a call letting her know that her step dad is really having a difficult time. His pension has run out and he is having issues paying his bills. So what is the problem you may ask?
The very same man physically and emotionally abused her and she is being asked to now help him financially.
“Sometimes instead of giving advice, those close to us just need someone to listen…I did just that, I listened and sent her a short audio clip that I thought may help her make the right decision from an interview where Tyler Perry talks about how he continues to support his step dad who abused him as a child."
