Lootlove slams body-shaming after cellulite jokes

The TV personality took to Instagram to share a picture of her South African Music Awards (SAMAs) dress and some of the comments were very negative.

Just two weeks ago, people were up in arms after True Love magazine shared unedited pictures of Lerato Kganyago. This was after she made it clear that she wasn't happy with how the June cover portrayed her.

The magazine was slammed by various people, including celebrities and politicians, with some labeling what the magazine did as "body-shaming".

Now Luthando "Lootlove" Shosha has experienced an incident of her own on her social media pages.

When @aust_malema clicks, magic happens. #SAMA22 #KingLoot 👑❤️

While some fans complemented her look, others couldn't help but leave mean comments.

One wrote: "Team cellulite." Another one, who clearly needs to grow up, wrote: "Why Is the knee dark though." And the shaming continued, as one comment read: "Dimples cc ...tone up!"

Not everyone was mean, of course, and some people were actually shocked by all the negative comments.

"Looking at the negative comments and I'm shocked that black women can think it's alright to pull each other down like this. It's so scary that women think that it's fine to say these horrible things. Big up to the women who see beauty and lift it up. Let's pull forward," read a comment.

Lootlove also took to her page to share her reaction to the negativity.

I just want to address something real quick!! 😁😁😁 THANK YOU to my baby @sihle_cityangel for making me look like a Futuristic Barbie... 😂❤️💋 I loved wearing this dress and im pretty sure the smile on my face shows you how happy I was last night! ❤️ NOW... I put up a pic yesterday and naturally some didn't like it (Thats always okay). What shocked me was the fact that only WOMEN were there one's commenting about my knee or "dimples" (because we not mature enough to just say CELLULITE!). Please understand something, we're in a place where we constantly need to remind ourselves that "we're enough", Imperfections and all. We have to remember that we're enough but if the very same people we're trying to inspire or show; that imperfection is actually a norm, are the same people pulling us down for it, then we failing. We're failing young women growing up in a world that constantly tells them they have to look like they stepped off a page on a magazine. JUST last week, we were all together upset about Lerato's pictures but you, WOMEN, are the first to call us out and tell us about how imperfect we are. I have cellulite, GROW UP & GET OVER IT. Im not here to hide for you. What Im not okay with is YOU making YOUR problem with MY cellulite my problem on MY page. You have to do better! Be better so you don't come charging at women who are alright with their cellulite when you are also probably dimpled. Love. ❤️💋
