The hitmaker behind groups such as POC, Skeem and Jozi is no stranger in the South African music scene.
Ishmael has also made a splash recently with his viral video of a song called Takalani.
The video features him singing hip-hop remix of the kids' show theme.
Hot off the heels of the release of the song, Ishmael joined Thandolwethu to speak about the concept behind this latest single.
He also spoke candidly about his struggle with addiction and the difficulty of being a broke artist who once had it all.
