In life, we often have a difficult time and are not sure that we will get what we want.
Over the last few days, writers, authors, actors, and celebrities have been sharing stories of times where they were turned down and rejected.

All this in a bid to show that nothing is an overnight success and that the reality of getting what you want often means having to face a few hurdles along the way.
The conversation began when writer Saeed Jones shared the story of how she had been repeatedly rejected by Breadloaf, a writers' conference held annually at Middlebury College.
Sometimes I dig up old rejection letters from publishers and literary journals to remind myself that it’s just part of the process.

Once I got a standard rejection from a dream publication.
Then, A YEAR LATER, the editor wrote me: "I still think about your story, is there any way you could resent it?"
So I resent it!
He wrote back and said, "Oh, now I remember why we rejected it."
