Woman faked having cancer to con lover out of R600k

Pamela
Jackson not only lied about having cancer, but she also told the victim that
her brother died owing her £5,000.
A British woman will spend the next 18-months in jail for telling a string of lies in order to con her secret lover out of £38,000 (around R600,902).
Pamela Jackson’s many lies included needing money to treat her non-existent spinal cancer, her brother dying having owed her £5,000, and her niece requiring brain surgery after being injured in a car accident.
Her lies finally caught up with her when her fiancé unexpectedly met her secret lover while she was out of town.
She had flown to New York with the niece she claimed was badly hurt in a car crash, and asked her lover to watch her dogs for her.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard how Pamela’s victim sold a vintage motorbike, and borrowed money from a friend to help her financially over a four-year period.
Pamela has apparently learned her lesson, and told the court -through a representative – that she will pay every penny back.
Not only did the 49-year-old lose her secret lover (and his money), but her fiancé as well.
