Bullying is something that should not be taken lightly. It has recently become a very serious issue in schools. Footage has been doing the rounds on social media which shows girls bullying at a Stellenbosch school.

In one video, you can clearly see the bully hitting the other girl’s head, slapping her, and pulling her hair wildly, injuring the girl pretty badly. The bully is a Grade 8 pupil from the Luckhoff High School in Stellenbosch. Disciplinary proceedings had been scheduled, but they had to be postponed when the student’s parents did not pitch up. Both victims have had to receive counseling after the traumatic incidents.
The East Coast Drive Team feels that the person filming this incident, as well as those standing around watching, are just as guilty as the girl doing all the punching and beating. In fact, as a team, we're calling them all ‘The Worst People in the World’.

We’re seeing more and more videos of these incidents online, and it’s almost as if the kids are doing it for the camera and for the online ‘fame’.
Next time you see someone being beaten up or abused, put the camera down and intervene. Please.
Warning: Footage not be suitable for sensitive viewers.
