Ricky, Carol prank Darren with fake Katy Perry interview
The East Coast Radio new 40 outsmarted the whole of KZN on April Fools day.
On their show, Ricky and Carol announced that they would chat to Katy Perry whose song Chained to the Rhythm is at number 5 on the chart.
The whole province waited with a great deal of anticipation for the interview.
If the tweets are anything to go by no one saw the prank coming. The best part of the prank is that Carol and Ricky did do the interview but with an impersonator who nailed Katy's accent.
East Coast Breakfast host, Darren Maule has a crush on Katy Perry and he sent through a voice note which was played during the interview.

At the end of the show, Carol and Ricky announced that it was not Katy Perry, to everyone's astonishment. April Fools!
