WATCH: Woman shot at the Pearls Mall during an argument

The woman was shot, got up, and ran away in an incident at the Pearls Mall in uMhlanga.

Video footage of an argument gone wrong was shared on Facebook group, eThekwini Secure.
In the video, woman can be seen arguing with someone in the parking lot of the Pearls Mall in Umhlanga.
According to the post, a woman was shot in th her neck after what seems to be an argument with a passenger in the back seat of the vehicle. After the shooting, the driver can been seen fleeing the scene whilst the victim runs away.

A SAPS vehicle can be seen in the vicinity, too.
The post was shared by Zain Soosiwala.
"She got up and ran for her life, to where I don't know.... where her husband was, I don't know... but he's full of blood outside the hospital.... she out of hospital now and fine." (sic), said the post.

The shooter was later identified by authorities and appeared in the Verulam Magistrate's court on Monday 28 February.
A 25-year-old suspect was arrested. His firearm was also seized by police. He appeared in the Verulam Magistrate’s Court on Monday.- Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Nqobile Gwala

The Pearls Mall management told IOL that it is not clear if those involved were patrons of the mall. The mall's security immediately called for the assistance of SAPS and the uMhlanga UIP to help in managing the situation.
