On the other hand, it's also been home to some very controversial and dangerous challenges.
The latest trend is the #SchoolsChallenge where learners use various household items and supermarket trolleys to carry their school books.

Yes, some of the videos have been absolutely hilarious and creative, but it can also go a little too far sometimes.
It has also led to children coming to school dressed in their parents clothing.
The challenge has now escalated, with videos being shared online of learners dancing on their teachers' cars and on school desks.
In Canada, similar school challenges have led to the destruction of property.

iOL reported that on Monday 21 February, it was reported that pupils from at least five high schools in Durban participated in the challenge. It is believed that some pupils illegally gathered in groups, stoned vehicles, disrupted classes and damaged school property.
The reports said one of the motives behind the behaviour was linked to the TikTok challenge.
