Working mothers vs stay-at-home moms
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
It would seem that moms just cannot catch a break! Should you vaccinate? Should you feed your baby formula? So many rules and no one seems to win...
KZN and Jane Linley-Thomas weigh in on the ongoing topic of 'Working mothers vs stay-at-home moms' in the podcast below;
Let me begin by saying that motherhood is not a competition. If it works for you, do it, because as a mother I know that all you're doing is your best and that's good enough!

However, no matter what we do, we are being judged. We feed our kids too much sugar, we allow our kids too much freedom, we let our kids watch too much television, we spoil them too much. The list goes on...
So this topic I came across intrigued me. For one, it was out of curiosity, and on the other hand I couldn't figure out why it was even a discussion? I am against the whole judgment thing around parenthood, motherhood, and life in general. Live and let live.
Blogger Lone Stevens looks at the two parenting styles, and it was eye-opening. Both parties feel unnecessary pressure from each other. This judgment needs to stop!

When a working mom is considered the 'part-time mom' or the stay-at-home mom is regarded to have an "easy job."
This argument is so silly. As if it isn't hard enough being a mom and continuously having to pacify ourselves over choices and circumstances.
Firstly, it must be said I have such respect for stay-at-home moms. Don't even get me started on moms who homeschool! Staying at home and parenting, that's a relentless gig. Sure, it's gratifying, but it's non-stop. On the other hand, having to miss moments and snatch time in the morning and afternoon is also hard while out earning to be able to provide.

Either or both situations come with their challenges, and as long as we try our best, there is nothing more to be said.
The stay-at-home mom vs the working mom debate needs to end... now!
