Weird birthday cake request from four-year-old

This month, my twins Rocco and Lula turn four, and of course the birthday cake conversation is at fever pitch.

Lula has eventually decided after a fair amount of back and forth to go for a Barbie cake. My sister is here from Cape Town, and she is in the driver's seat for this one.

Rocco is still deliberating between a Hulk smash cake or a Ninja Turtle cake.

Most four-year-olds choose a theme based on their favourite characters. Not this little dude! Benz decided that for his cake he wanted a cake of a cow giving birth to a calf!

His mom tried to persuade him otherwise, but the little farm boy was hell bent, so mom got to work decorating the unusual request with red edible afterbirth. 

The mom echoed how relived she was that only family were coming to the party. Ha! I love it!
