Fast food is generally known for being quite cheap and cheerful, but McDonald's is trying to change that with a rather surprising - and high end - collaboration.
The brand has partnered with a luxury fashion designer to give their boxes a couture-inspired overhaul for a special edition being run in the UK.

It’s still the same burger inside the blinged-out box, but they’re hoping the association with a famous designer will give the brand some extra appeal.
As Chris Reid, Trend Researcher at the International Trend Institute, explained in his recent conversation with Jane Linley-Thomas, this is more than just a packaging trend.
It says something about our relationship with fast food - and how brands are trying to adapt as it changes.
