Oops! Are you guilty of these email typos?
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
Amidst the hustle and bustle of life, it's very easy to make a typo (or two) while chatting, but what happens when it's in an important email? Awkward!
Is it just me or do we battle to put pen to paper these days? We've become such a digitally-inclined world, so for some of us, using a pen and paper is lost on us. I have become so dependent on spellcheck that without looking, it seems that I have no grasp of the English language while typing out emails.
The other day I was asked to write in a visitors' book and the outcome was dismal as I plodded through crossed out words. Eek! For some reason, my name at times comes up as 'Janet'. Oh well, it happens.Read: The email responses that just make you cringe
I once sent an email to my boss and used 'Xx' at the end. I wanted to bury my head in shame, and what made matters worse was that we were discussing a very serious topic.
No matter how hard we try, it's easy to mess up an email with a typo, but once you hit the dreaded send button, it's all downhill from there.
If you've had an email typo before and thought it was bad, wait until you see some of these ultimate fails:

I’ve received something along those lines. My dad and mum are called Brian & Chris, and one Christmas a school friend gave me a card addressed to “Glen, Brain & Christ”. Most complimentary card we ever had! 😊

I once signed off a work email by spelling my name 'Ooonagh'. And it wasn't even Halloween.
