On-duty cop caught sleeping on camera

Our police force seems to be making the headlines a lot lately, but surely they should not be doing this while on the job?
Look, we all get a little tired sometimes. Personally, I can't just nap anywhere. It's either my room or nothing else. For the perfect shut-eye, my room has to be a dark, cool place - and not forgetting my flat pillow. My worst is sleeping on any mode of transport. That feeling of my head rolling forward in that haze - nope! I would rather stay awake.

However, this cop obviously can nap anywhere, anytime. Our police force seems to have come under fire a lot over the last few weeks. First it was a cop attempting to pay her DStv account, then a station turned into a hair salon. It seems that they can't seem to catch a break?

However, according to Times Live, one cop was caught doing the unthinkable while on the job - sleeping! This cop from Mpumalanga can be seen slouched in a chair catching a good old 40 winks. Not just a nap but fast asleep. So much so that the person who filmed him could walk to the other side and get a close up of him. I would be so bleak waiting in a packed line with a sleeping person on the other side of the desk.
Just this weekend I went grocery shopping and every shop I went to had one person serving behind the till. What on earth! Why on earth, on a busy Saturday morning, would you be so grossly under-staffed? It's the busiest day of the week so it should be a time where there's sufficient people to help out. It's infuriating and I find myself muttering with volume.
What do you think - should we give him a break (who knows the night he's had) or should he feel the strong arm of the law?
