Near-death experiences inspire woman to travel the world

A US woman is inspiring millions of
people around the world with her touching story.
Megan Sullivan’s life changed in 2014 when she fell 50 feet while rock climbing, and as if that wasn’t bad enough, she was also hit by a car while riding a Vespa and then diagnosed with skin cancer.
Instead of wallowing in self-pity, the three near-death experiences inspired her to take the trip of a lifetime.
The 31-year-old from San Francisco, US, is making news around the world after her monumental journey around the world.
She decided to embrace life to the fullest shortly after undergoing surgery on her scalp for skin cancer.
It had always been her dream to visit the Seven Wonders of the World, but there was always some excuse to put it off.
But less than two weeks after her cancer surgery, she was globetrotting with her new boyfriend, whom she had been dating for just two weeks.
The couple visited the Pyramid at Chichén Itzá in Mexico, Machu Picchu in Peru, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, the Colosseum in Rome, Petra in Jordan, the Taj Mahal in India, and the Great Wall of China in just 13 days. Despite financial constraints they managed to pull off the amazing trip.
Megan says her cancer diagnosis was the final wake-up call she needed to follow her dreams.
“When tragedy hits you seem to question everything. Then you get to this point where you realize that with that loss comes an opportunity to fill that void with something else. It was at this point that I needed to start turning my lifelong dreams into a reality,” she told A Plus.
Megan hopes her experience will help others to overcome any difficulties they are going through, and follow their dreams.
"You will hit a point in your life when you think that there is no way it could get any worse until it does," she said. "Days, weeks, months or sometimes even years later, you will wake up with an amazing realization that you survived; you were able to get through that moment even though at the time you never thought it possible. You hold the power to decide how you are going to live each day, so you might as well make it the greatest day of your life."
