Mom’s punishment letter sends internet into frenzy

The moment the tail begins to wag the dog, you as a parent are in for a world of trouble.

I grew up knowing that manners make the man and respect for yourself and those around you was a non-negotiable. Of course, like a normal kid, I used to see how far I could push and it would end up in a punishment that would teach me a valuable lesson.

The story that comes to mind is when I was about 16 I told my mom to shut up and later that evening my dad tore up my bus ticket to Swaziland for my much anticipated holiday. I was mortified, but I guess I really learnt in that moment that that's obviously no way to speak to my mom and that every action has a reaction.

I love this mom's letter! I can't believe I'm going to say this, but it seems some of the youth of today are out of control!

Maybe it's easier disciplining the plugged in generation, as you can't get very far without your cellphone charger or wifi password?

Letter too much? I think not.

Her son was being disrespectful to her, sometimes raising his voice, undermining her authority. So she wrote this note for him. Some people started calling her names, saying she was too harsh, others applauded her.
