Kid’s imaginary friends have been transformed into physical characters by leading artist!

The models were created using the children's drawings and descriptions by designers including the Aardman studio, makers of ‘Wallace & Gromit’ Rankin.

I am searching my life for memories of an imaginary friend but sadly no one springs to mind.

Of course there were fairies at the bottom of my garden but as far as a character that was my bestie not so much.

My son Cooper has an imaginary mouse friend Washiwell, complete with soft grey fur, denim shorts and a bright dinosaur T-shirt.

He joins us on holidays and pops up in everyday life alongside his mom Matilium and Dad (whose name escapes me)

Washiwell went through a stage of being a trouble maker like 'drawing on the walls'

So for example if something was broken or there was some crayon 'art’ on the wall it was automatically Washiwell's fault.

Nothing like being a mother to three small kids and an imaginary grey mouse!

Take a look at photographed children with their real versions of invented companions.
