Is knowing the password to your partner's phone important to you?

In the age of fingerprint and now facial recognition on our mobile phones, the new question is - is it important for your partner to know the password to your phone?

I was watching the rather funny Michael McIntyre's Send To All with Jamie Oliver, and in my opinion, this episode is one of the best I've ever seen.

It sees a celeb handing their phone over to Michael who then types a text into the phone and sends it to all the celeb's contacts. The texts are always cringe-worthy and the outcome is obviously hysterical.

I was surprised when Jamie handed his phone over and made a comment about Jools, his wife, not knowing his password to his phone. Surely after five kids, the password to his phone would be the last of his worries, right? Is this common? Or does this boil down to a trust thing?


Mr T and I have never been concerned about this kind of thing, in fact, somehow, our iPhones merged - thank you technology - and we occasionally receive each other's messages.

So now I am very curious and want to know what you all think - why would you choose not to allow your significant other access to your phone, especially if you have nothing to hide?
