Mermaids for the win, right!? How cool is this babysitter?

Keegan Carnahan, 15, was busy babysitting three-year-old Alidy when she noticed that Alidy brought out her mermaid outfit for bath time. Upon seeing this, Keegan decided to have a bit of fun and bring out hers - and the result is adorable. Little Alidy now thinks that Keegan is an actual mermaid!

What’s even more touching is that Alidy’s dad died recently and ever since the death, she has been wearing a costume every day. She finally has someone who she can relate and connect with now.

Growing up, the babysitting role was taken care of by either my grandparents or our domestic scientist - and they were most certainly not dressed up as a glorious mermaid.

It was always exciting when my mom and dad went out. It meant that my sister and I could watch a movie in our parents' bed and we always had a treat, usually a flanby. Remember flanbys?! Oh my glory, they were so good! A caramel custard with a high hat of brown sugary deliciousness!

We would inevitably fall asleep in their bed and be carried to our own later in the night.
