The rapper was well-known for many hit songs including, 'Weekend' featuring Miguel, which delves into how he handled stress and addiction - something that he was always open about. He suffered from an addiction to 'purple drank', a common recreational drug.
Many in the rap industry have taken to social media to show their love and pay tribute to Miller's life and music.
I dont know what to say Mac Miller took me on my second tour ever. But beyond helping me launch my career he was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew. Great man. I loved him for real. Im completely broken. God bless him.

'The Way' was another famous hit which he featured on. The song is off Ariana Grande's debut album.
The pair met back in September 2016. It is reported that he connected with Ariana as he thought she would be a perfect fit to feature on his album, The Divine Feminine.
During the two years of their relationship, the pair were supportive of each other. Miller was Grande's rock when she had to deal with the emotions during the tragic Manchester bombings back in 2017.
Fast forward to May this year, the pair decided to publicly break up, and fans were devastated. People Magazine cited that they called it quits due to their hectic schedules. However, they did vow to remain friends. Ariana responded on Instagram adding that she 'respected and adored him', irrespective of them deciding to part ways.
This past weekend, poor Ariana has had to disable the comments section on her Instagram account after trolls took to the platform to drag her, blaming her for Miller's sudden death, and even saying that her engagement to Pete Davidson is what drove him over the edge.

"@ArianaGrande look what you did to Mac Miller! He needed support and you weren’t there for him so he could move on. Instead you got engaged with another after 2 weeks of dating just to f**k with Mac Miller! Shame on you!," said one Twitter user, as reported by UNILAD.
"She broke up with him after 3 years! And then she got engaged with a guy she was with for like 3 months. Yeah I get why he would be upset and why he would wanna take drugs bc drugs stop all of the pain for a while. So honestly it is sorta her fault," said another individual reported by The Sun.
Grande is yet to comment on the rapper's death but is reportedly 'devastated' by the news. However, following her disabling the comments on her account, she posted a picture of Miller which has received over 10-million likes at the time of writing.
