Discount given by restaurant for well-behaved and polite kids
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
Do you think parents should be rewarded for their kids' good behaviour?
I like this idea, but it is a little sad that this sort of good behaviour is so rare.
A restaurant in Italy has started offering a discount on bills for parents whose kids are well behaved. The restaurant owner, Antonio Ferrari, got the idea when he visited some friends with kids in Miami, and they were offered the discount because their kids displayed good behaviour.

At one stage we had three kids under three years of age and we were and still are very aware of other people when going out for a meal.
Sure, if we are in a children's type of restaurant we are a lot less concerned, but overall, regardless of where we eat, we run a tight ship. Don't get me wrong, there have been some disastrous meals amongst spilt milkshakes.
I think this is a good idea and can only promote a win-win for both the parent and the restaurant.
What are your thoughts about children eating out? Do you think it's a case of there are children's restaurants available and that's where they should hang out, or are you of the opinion that children should be exposed to grown-up types of eating experiences?
