Damon chats to Jane about how he once feared flying
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
I've known Damon for over 10 years, but I did not know that he used to have a massive fear of flying. So much so that he couldn't even drive near an airport.
When you're anxious, your frightening thoughts feel more likely to occur... but feeling anxious doesn’t mean you're in danger.
Damon Beard's 'Flying Without Fear' course is producing some unbelievable results and it's designed to help people who are scared of flying to overcome it. This is so they can take their holiday or business trip and actually enjoy it.
If you're scared of flying, the first thing to know is that you are not alone.
According to stats - 1 in 3 people have a fear of flying, which means that one person in every row of three seats in any aircraft would rather not be there.
Millions of people around the world suffer from this same fear, and now Damon, together with four of the most highly-experienced professionals in the business, are guiding nervous flyers step by step so that before long, they too are flying.
Three airline pilots and a clinical psychologist work with the participants on the course and they're having the most phenomenal results.

One participant was so overcome with fear at the mere thought of flying, he suffered panic attacks and was then admitted to hospital for a week. He turned down an overseas work trip and was on the first 'Flying Without Fear' course.
He has now taken a flight, and is currently overseas.
Another participant has just returned from an overseas holiday and conquered five flights!
Damon also works with Mango - the airline of choice for his 'Flying Without Fear' course.
