Whoa! We didn't see this one coming.
Connie Ferguson is leaving Generations: The Legacy. The actress, who plays Karabo in the popular SABC1 soapie, wants to focus on her other projects.
In a statement, the show's publicity manager Gaaratwe Mokhethi said:
"It is with great disappointment that we have to announce the departure of the much-loved Karabo Moroka, played by the talented Connie Ferguson. She’s working on a couple of projects that need her undivided attention and has asked to be released from her contract."
Mfundi Vundla said Connie was a significant figure in the construction of the Generations: The Legacy. "I will be eternally grateful for that and her contribution to the growth of the industry," he said in the statement.
She added that Connie will be appearing on the show for the next couple of months, and that her exit scenes have not been shot yet.
We will miss you, Karabo.
