Do you think smoking and/or drinking during pregnancy is as
bad as everyone says it is? Bongani Urban opened up the lines to you and it’s
not as straightforward as you think...
I was chatting to a friend of mine whose wife is currently pregnant. He was telling me that he is battling to get his wife to stop smoking. I am against smoking full stop. It is incredibly bad for you, and now you want to put those poisons into your body whilst you’re sharing it with your child?
How often have we seen babies born with complications as a result of their mother’s drinking and smoking during pregnancy? I know there are cases that show that an odd glass of wine or a beer is okay, so I am talking about excessive drinking and smoking here.

Simon’s mom smoked during all three of her pregnancies, and as much as I hate to admit, my producer turned out alright. Is there something to this? Is it really that bad?
