Surf Riders Food Shack owner chats to East Coast Drive about fire incident

Following a fire that took place at the popular Durban beachfront restaurant Surf Riders Food Shack, East Coast Drive managed to catch up with the owner.

The popular Surf Riders Food Shack restaurant based on the Durban beachfront was damaged by a fire that broke out in the early hours of Monday morning.

According to IOL, armed response from Blue Security was dispatched to the scene of the restaurant just after 01h00 on Monday morning. When they got to the scene, they noticed that the fire was caused by a piece of wood in the restaurant's oven. A full investigation is being conducted into the incident to determine what exactly went down.
