South Africa's creative duo FAKA take Gqom to Versace's runway
Updated | By East Coast Drive
The likes of Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid walked the Versace runway at the Spring/Summer '19 Show in Milan to Gqom music. Talk about making history!
Absolutely nothing could’ve prepared Twitter for when South African creative duo FAKA posted a picture of themselves hanging out with Italian fashion icon, Donatella Versace.
The image was snapped at the unveiling of the Versace menswear spring/summer 2019 collection. But FAKA weren’t just hanging out in the front row, they created the show’s runway music, setting the tone for the entire event and beautiful collection!

For those unaware, FAKA was formed in 2015 and since then Desire Marea and Fela Gucci have travelled the world as fashion musicians, influencers, and performers.
As stunning as the Versace collection inevitabily was, it was evidently FAKA who stole the show with their proudly South African music from their "Amaqhawe" EP.
