OMG: Crowds on the Cape Town promenade this morning!

Who do you blame for the craziness on the Sea Point Promenade this morning?
Today was the first time we were allowed to leave our homes, to walk or a run outside and there was a lot of excitement on social media as many people could finally go for a run again.

But today we wanted to discuss how Cape Town reacted, as images of people not observing social-distancing rules have been circulating online. #CapeTown has been trending at number 1 all day on Twitter and the images are crazy!
I don’t understand people of the Republic of Cape Town. Look at this. That time Cape Town has the most infections and most fatalities in the country. Of the 297 cases reported nationally yesterday, the Western Cape alone contributed 207. But look. 🤷🏾♂️ pic.twitter.com/RLL5BNdHAq

It looked like the festive season as hoards of people were walking around making social distancing almost impossible.
Gordon even went on to say: "A part of me is going with everyone else and saying it’s all because of the lockdown regulations restricting people to three hours a day but another part of me is saying, if you arrive at the post office and see thousands of people there what do you do? You drive home and decide to go another day so if you arrive at the promenade and see thousands of people there and you know how serious the coronavirus is why do you get out of your car and join the crowds a part of me blames the people of Cape Town for this. The Government can only do so much, we also have to start thinking for ourselves in some situations"
East Coast Drive then asked KZN - who do you blame for the craziness on the Sea Point Promenade this morning; the government’s level 4 lockdown regulations or the people of Cape Town who chose to join the crowds instead of going home and avoiding it?
