Proteas spinner Pat Symcox believes Steve Smith will never captain Australia again.
Australian cricket is in turmoil after captain Steve Smith and opener Cameron Bancroft admitted they attempted to tamper with the ball. This transpired in the third Test against the Proteas in Cape Town. South Africa won the Test by 322 runs.
In the aftermath, Smith has stepped down as captain of Australia as well as his Indian Premier League team, the Rajasthan Royals. He was also fined 100% of his match fee and received a one-match ban from the International Cricket Council.
