Is it acceptable to go through your children's phone?

Should the rule of 'my house my rules' apply even when it comes to something as personal and private as a phone when it comes to children?
These days, children as young as 10 years old have phones. Some may argue that this is for their own safety and so that the children are never stranded and are able to contact their parents at all times.

It got heated in the studio when Bongani asked if it is okay for parents to go through their children's phones. Mags responded by saying she will most definitely be going through Daniel's phone when he is old enough to have one.

G-Dawg, on the other hand, begs to differ by arguing that he won't go through his children's phone because he feels you should only give your child a phone if you trust them enough to use it responsibly.
