Innocent prisoner released after 20 years, attorney speaks out

After being convicted of a crime he did not commit almost 20 years ago, Lucky Shange walked free on Thursday morning. Phat Joe and his team caught up with the attorney who represented him.
Thursday, 4th of May will be a day that Lucky Shange will never forget. It was the day that he was set free.
According to News24, Lucky spent almost 20 years in prison for a crime that he was wrongfully convicted for. The court stated that the magistrate who had convicted him did not sit with assessors who worked on his case.

The back story is that Lucky was arrested on charges of murdering a taxi boss in the Montclair area when he was just 18 years old - one of the taxi's were found outside Lucky's home.
Although Lucky told authorities that he did commit the crime and pleaded not guilty, he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Twenty years later, Lucky (who is now 40) has been set free. Ncama Zungu and Associates were the attorneys who took on his case. Phat Joe and the East Coast Drive team managed to chat with attorney Nqobile Zungu, who worked hard and pleaded with the court for his immediate release.
