He dropped the news during an interview on the “Today” show. Ed says he is looking for groups of three or four to audition for the new boy band he wants to start. The 26-year-old ginger will not be a part of the band but instead will be writing ‘super pop' songs.
Ed has experience with writing music for boy bands. In 2012 he co-wrote One Direction’s hit single “Little Things”.
Personally, I would audition if I was given the opportunity to. His popular 2017 hits ‘Castle on the Hill’ and ‘Shape of You’ are my absolute favourite, and top of my playlist at the moment. If these hits are anything to go by, the band’s music is set to be explosive and definitely will be chart toppers.
