Arguably, technology is the best thing to ever happen to mankind, but does it has its drawbacks?
Is the world passing us by while we are too busy looking down at our phones, updating our statues, and checking other people's updates? Are we one day going to look up and see robots roaming around?
A video has been doing the rounds on the internet of a group of tourists taking a tour on a gondola in Venice. The tourists had their eyes glued to their phones and didn't even appear phased by the beauty of the place they were in, not once did they lift their heads up to look around.

According to The Indian Express, the footage shows four men on a gondola in Italy's famous Venetian lagoon, while texting on their phones.
Holidays and vacations are all about taking in the beauty of foreign places and immersing yourself in other people's cultures and ways of life. Cellphones play a huge role in helping us capture moments during a holiday and memories are an integral part of travelling and keeping record - but that doesn't mean you should constantly stare at your phone!

We have heard and seen many stories of people taking selfies of almost everything, especially when on holiday, and some have argued that this takes away from the experience of appreciating the beauty of a place you're visiting and the idea of being present in the moment.
