Cape Town robber fails to catch up with getaway car
This jewel thief thought he was going to get away with a crime but his feet failed him.
When a gang from Cape Town decided to rob a jewellery store, they thought they had it all worked out, but their timing was just not right.
According to Times Live, a gang from Cape Town decided to rob a jewellery store at a shopping centre in Athlone. Once the robber fled the store, he ran towards a getaway car waiting for him near a parking exit.

Authorities were hot on his heels as he made his way to the car. One of his accomplices opened the door for him so he could jump in, but he was a little too slow, causing him to miss his ticket to freedom.
He was then caught by security officials.
Just when they thought they had everything planned out to commit the perfect crime, it escalated a tad bit too quick for their liking.
