Bongani renames the Proteas 'Bafana Bafana'
Updated | By East Coast Drive
Everyone is always quick to tease Bafana Bafana and even the words themselves have become a joke. Why are the Proteas safe from this?
Listen to Bongani talk about the Proteas, or read the details under the podcast.
The Proteas have lost their first three games in the Cricket World Cup, and South Africa is in distress.
Bongani had a lot to say about it on Thursday's show.
"Even in 2010 during the World Cup, Bafana Bafana didn’t lose their first three games. Even when they do lose they at least face the music - unlike like our Captain Faf du Plessis who sent another player to the press conference yesterday after losing to India," says Bongani.

South Africa never actually expects Bafana Bafana to win when they play as sad as it may seem, but the Proteas are ranked third in the world and that should surely mean something - especially when we have the whole world watching us.
Bongani also added that maybe its time the Proteas get a taste of what Bafana Bafana constantly experience.
After their third-straight loss at #CWC19 yesterday, do you think the Proteas will still qualify for the top 4?
