Angry elephant on rampage

People watched in terror in Southern India when a Temple elephant broke loose and went on a rampage.

The elephant destroyed a number of cars, a rickshaw and even a small truck outside a temple in Kerala.

This, while it had two riders on its back.

According to reports, the elephant was taking part in a religious festival when it broke free from its leash.

Kerala’s temples have been known for their poor conditions and there have been a number of reports of elephants being chained and starved.

There were no injuries and the elephant eventually calmed down.
