In Monday's edition of WTF on East Coast Drive with Bongani and Mags a woman wrote in with a rather sensitive issue regarding her finances and her marriage.

She says that in the 12 years of marriage and having a joint account with her husband, it has come to her attention that she earns more than her husband. However who earns more is not the real issue, the real issue is the fact that her husband spends way more than she does yet his earnings are not that great.

My husband and I have had a joint account. We both have our salaries deposited into one account. The problem is that I earn much more than he does, yet he spends much more than I do. I feel like sometimes I’m funding his lavish lifestyle while I live frugally. I want to separate the accounts and each have our own, but I don’t know how to approach it. But I cannot carry on like this.
