Once in a while it is nice to go out for a meal with the family. A break from the stove and a chance to enjoy someone else's food. It is even better when you get a surprise in your meal...or not.
Shawna Cepeda was enjoying dinner at the BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse in West Covina last week when she saw something funny looking in her salad.

Cepeda ate about five bites of the salad and said it tasted “a little sour.”
Cepeda passed the salad onto her husband who, rather shocked by the discovery, shouted out that there was a frog on her plate!

The San Dimas resident said she alerted restaurant staff, who, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, disposed of the frog. A health inspector from the department inspected the restaurant on Monday — almost a week after the incident — and found no health code violations.
According to San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the company has launched an internal investigation and is discussing the issue with suppliers and distributors “to ensure that nothing like this happens in the future.”
This will definitely put us off healthy eating for a while.
The truly horrifying fact is that finding strange items in your food is actually quite common. Here's an equally disgusting video for your viewing pleasure. Eek!
