It has just been contract season at East Coast Radio, and all have been invited to go behind closed doors to negotiate and sign their contracts for the upcoming year. And, of course, nobody knows what was agreed upon behind those doors

That's how it should be. It is none of your business to know what a colleague earns. It is confidential for a reason. However, sometimes the information creeps out - and it can cause problems.
